Vicki's Photo Tour of Rome, Italy - May 2008
Sightseeing in some of the worlds most famous (and busiest) places provides an interesting challenge - getting the shot uncluttered and making it feel like something no one has seen before. Rome in May has to be as beautiful (and beloved) a subject as exists on the planet. Join me for a stroll.......

The grave of Raphael Sanzio, one of the trinity of the three great masters of the period (the other two being Michelangelo and Da Vinci)is in the Pantheon. He is my favorite artist, I always stop to thank him when I am in town. He only lived to be 37 (vs Michelangelo's 88 and 66 for DaVinci but his work was so good he managed to attract the eye of Pope's and patrons and the result is his own room in the Vatican museum, all of which I think is overpainted other work because there was no space left but they made some anyway.
