Casey Stoner won the championship, Ducati was in the spotlight and now the men in red were heading for California. Ducati Island was ready, the Superbike Concorso entrants were lined up in what the judges called "the toughest round yet" and the weather was on our side, simply perfect with no sign of letting up. Anton Gonzales and his 1995 916. In his words:
I have changed the paint from red to black, and went with the Senna design for the uniqueness of it's look. I changed the rear shock to an Ohlins. Added as much carbon fiber as I could get my hands on and painted all the black parts myself. The Clutch basket is aluminum and the rear gear was also replaced with an aluminum gear. The Stock rims where powder coated red. This is no trailer queen, I ride this bike all the time.
