And off for a short ride to lunch. The guy in the bandanna is a total stranger that, as it turns out lives less than an hour from me in Florida and we share a close, mutual friend who is, ironically, also a Ducati club President.

As we were preparing to leave the mayor of Assisi asked if we would like a tour of his office and the rooms where the town business has been conducted for centuries.
We even got to sit in his chair!

Gelato, and granita's (sort of an Italian slushee) are most people's choice but I am a fan of meringue and the Italians do them better than anybody.
