Novegro Mostra Scambio is held in Milan each year at a fairground right next to the Linate airport. Because it's held in winter the crowd is mostly local - Italians, Germans with a few Brits thrown in for good measure. Americans are rare, the combination of the dollar vs the euro and the expected weather generally keeps them away. The meet covers three huge structures and a number of lots outside. So many people attend it's crazy - vendors and buyers are everywhere as far as the eye can see. And what they have for sale, well, that's where the photos come in because there's no way to describe it - from the amazing to the undefinable, it's all here in droves. Join me for a look at Novegro....

Capriolo close up. What a beauty
These were simply incredible, for sale by custom order. You really could not tell them from the real bike exceptt they were 10 inches tall. All made from the original materials, even the tires are hand made. I had dinner with a group of swap meet regulars on Saturday night and they were still talking about them

Hop up parts were everywhere, for literally anything you wanted to go faster, stop shorter or turn better
That's a Cagiva Freccia 125. Built in the mid 80's they were never imported into the US but one managed to slide in from Canada and I got my motorcycle license on it. When I saw it I couldn't stop smiling, a chance meeting with an old friend
This oil pump was for sale for 1200 euros. I snoozed and it belongs to somebody else now
So is this, it's an outboard motor
Lots of odd stuff like this, I was given a Ducati car phone from the early 90's as a gift from a favorite vendor. First one I had ever seen.
This Guzzi is know for it's speed. Rare and valuable, it was just sitting by itself in the grass
