It happened so fast. Over 8 feet of water in just over an hour. I took photos but there's nothing here that can capture the feel of witnessing the unbelievable destruction
At this point I have sent these pics to CNN and they and NBC have been calling and have sent news crews. At 2pm CNN's "Situation Room" called and asked if I would be an "I-Reporter" and talk to "Wolf" about my photos. The only funny thing that happened all day!
That's a church. The whole lower wall collapsed to the basement. They are very kind people, these church folks. They lost thier building but they were just happy no one was hurt.

The post office lost 20 vehicles at least. They had to rethink the ages old "neither rain nor sleet" policy as well...
