Laguna Seca Ducati Island. It's literally the "Mother of all Ducati Islands" because it all started here. Inspired years ago by the red hillside covered with Ducati's at Donington Park, it's become the world standard for Ducati race weekend parties. It's been a long term partnership really - Ducati North America's goal is to yearly "raise the bar" and the Ducatisti who attend year after year have been hand in hand with the plan, building bikes and planning adventures with this weekend in central focus. This year the stars aligned - the weather was perfect and the date fell over the 4th of July holiday weekend, allowing Ducatisti to spend a three day weekend getting fully into the Island groove. The result was (just my opinion but I've been to them all) the best one yet. See for yourself, join us for a stroll around the island. Welcome to Vicki's View "You Were There, Laguna Seca"..........

We arrive at the historic Laguna Seca facility to bright blue sky's and crisp, cool weather. Once inside it's straight to Ducati Island
Welcome to Ducati Island!
The action starts early. Everbody wants a prime parking spot on the island
It really IS an island. Take a sec to check out the schedule and come on in........
Ducati only parking and friendly staff to direct you to a good spot where your bike can best be admired
This is the best place all year to see every sort of Ducati from fresh off the showroom floor to bikes like this well done and interesting application of beautiful Supermono bodywork to an early 90's SuperSport. Nice!
First stop, the Foremost Insurance gear check. Foremost believes in smart riders who wear good gear and they are very much aware how much we invest in it (these guys "get it", Foremost standard coverage includes track days and realistic $$ gear replacement) so sponsoring a safe place for folks to stash gear was a natural fit. Staffed with hard working "Team Ducatisti" volunteers (thanks guys!) it's a quick stop to shed some weight and now it's time to see what's going on.
That's Craig, the island "mixologist". He sets the mood, and plays the mixes that keep us all swaying to the music of both the motors and the Black Eyed Peas
