Dream Garage, Detroit, Michigan : It has a name, Stonegate Farm, but what it really is, is anybody's, everybody's, dream garage assuming you dream BIG and in bright, vivid color. At first view, when approaching by car on this windy, snowy night, with the main house all lit for Christmas it seems it must be a business or a museum. But no, it's our friends place gleaming in the snow. A quick stop in the main house, a farmhouse built in the early 1900's all decorated for Christmas in the most picture perfect way, glasses of wine all around and we are off to the main barn..... Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance 2007 : 2007 marks the introduction of this new event on the upscale concours circuit. Hosted by Jay Leno with the proceeds going to charity, the event raised over 1 million dollars for the Boys and Girls Club in South Florida. The show itself was an invitational and included cars as well as motorcycles and the turnout in both cases was impressive. We were invited to enter three motorcycles, a Ducati 750 "Greenframe", a Ducati 175SS and a 125 Mondial. The 750, a fresh Rich Lambrechts restoration, won the Platinum award and the 175SS (my pride and joy) went home with the gold award for 1960 and older. A great time was had by all and we are already looking forward to next years event.

Sebring 12 Hour Race 2010 : Sebring is not too far from where I live. I used to race there every year but since I fell back in love with 2 wheelers (my first love in high school was bikes) I’ve kicked the racecars to the curb. When my brother called and asked if I wanted to join him and his family in a motorhome for some spectating I decided this was the year to come back. Naturally I brought my camera. It’s nowhere near as wild as in the past but race cars are things of beauty and the sky was robins egg blue........... Vicki
